A Steel Acrow Prop is a versatile, telescopic, load-bearing support used in construction for temporary propping and shoring. It consists of two steel tubes (one sliding inside the other) with a manual adjustment mechanism, allowing it to be extended to various heights. Formwork Support: Supporting soffits (the underside) of in-situ concrete slabs, beams, and lintels during casting and curing.

Critical Rule: NEVER extend a prop beyond its marked maximum working length. Capacity drastically reduces as extension increases.

Extend: Pull the inner tube up to the approximate height. Insert the pin through the nearest hole below the desired height.

Align: Ensure the prop is vertical/plumb. Use braces if height exceeds 2.5x the minimum base width.
Head & Base: The top fork must fully support the timber/beam ("strongboy"), and the base plate must sit flat.
Striking (Removal): Loosen screw jack first to release load. Remove in a controlled sequence as per the method statement.
