Application:

Flush-Mount Design: The sprinkler body is recessed into the ceiling, and only a small, flat cover plate is visible, creating a low-profile look .
Two-Piece Construction: Typically consists of the sprinkler unit (body, thermal element, and deflector) and a separate cover plate assembly. This allows for installation and pressure testing of the piping system before the ceiling is finished and the cover plate is installed .
Thermal Cover Plate Release: The cover plate is held in place by a heat-sensitive solder or fluid. In a fire, when the ambient temperature reaches a specific rating, the solder melts or the fluid expands, causing the cover plate to drop away . This exposes the sprinkler's thermal element (glass bulb or fusible link) to the heat.
Adjustable Coverage: Many concealed sprinkler assemblies offer a degree of vertical adjustment (e.g., up to ½ inch) to accommodate slight variations in ceiling thickness during installation .
