1. What is metal stamping?
Metal stamping is a cold-forming manufacturing process that uses presses and stamping dies to transform sheet metal (in coils or blanks) into specific shapes. Processes include blanking, punching, bending, drawing, and coining.
2. What materials are commonly used in stamping?
Common materials include:
- Carbon Steel: Low, medium, and high carbon steels (e.g., SPCC, SPHC).

6. How do I request a quote for stamping parts?
Please provide the following:
- Detailed 2D Drawings or 3D CAD Models (STEP, IGES).
- Material Specification (type, grade, thickness).
- Annual Volume Estimate (prototype, low, medium, or high volume).
- Surface Finish & Coating Requirements (e.g., plating, painting, powder coating).
- Any Critical Quality or Testing Standards (e.g., PPAP, RoHS compliance).
- Prototyping: Uses soft tooling, laser cutting, or simple dies for small batches (10-1,000 pcs) to verify design and function. Unit cost is higher, but lead time is short.
