Specifications:

| Materials | Carbon steel(cold rolled steel sheet, galvanized steel sheet or tube), stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum, etc. |
| Surface treatment | All kinds of surface treatment is available, polishing, zinc plating, nickel plating, chrome plating, powder coating, phosphate coating. |
| Measurements | According to customer's design,drawing or sample. |
| Mould/tooling/die |
1. We make the toolings by ourselves according to customer's drawing or sample. 2. We send samples to customer to confirm first 3. Single stamping die can save the cost if the quantities are not large. But the produce time is a little slow than progressive stamping die 4. Progressive die can save produce time for the large quantities products ,but the die's cost is expensive than single stamping die. |
| Confirm sample | If the first sample is not satisfied customer, we will modify the mould until customer satisfied. |
| Usage | Auto machinery parts, Funiture hardware, electronic hardware, construction machinery parts, metal processing machinery etc. |
| Sale market | Europe, Middle east, America, Africa ,South America etc. |

1. What is a Stamped V-Belt Pulley?
A Stamped V-Belt Pulley (often called a sheave) is a power transmission component used to transfer rotational motion and torque between shafts via a V-belt. Unlike cast or machined pulleys, it is manufactured by precision stamping and forming of steel sheet, resulting in a lightweight, cost-effective, and consistent part ideal for high-volume applications.
2. What are the primary advantages of stamped pulleys over cast pulleys?
Lightweight: Reduces rotating mass and inertia, improving system efficiency and responsiveness.
Cost-Effective: Significantly lower per-part cost for medium to high production volumes due to efficient stamping processes.
High Consistency: Stamping produces parts with excellent dimensional repeatability and balance.
Good Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Modern high-strength steels provide ample strength for many applications.
Clean Finish: Requires minimal secondary machining; often pre-finished.
3. What types of V-belts are your pulleys designed for?
Our pulleys are engineered for standard V-belt profiles:
Classical V-Belt (A, B, C, D sections): Most common for industrial drives.
Narrow Wedge V-Belt (SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC sections): For higher power in compact spaces.
Light-Duty/FHP (Fractional Horsepower) Belts (2L, 3L, 4L, 5L): For appliances, small motors, and low-power drives.
Variable Speed Pulleys: Stamped components for adjustable pitch diameter systems.
4. What materials are used in stamping?
We primarily use formable and durable sheet metals:
Cold Rolled Steel (SPCC/CRS): Standard material, offers a good balance of strength and formability.
Hot Rolled Steel (SPHC): For thicker gauges or less critical applications.
Galvanized Steel (SGCC): For corrosion resistance.
Aluminum (5052, 6061): For maximum weight reduction (less common for stamping, but available).
Stainless Steel (430, 304): For special corrosion-resistant requirements.
5. How do I specify the correct pulley?
You need to provide several key parameters:
Belt Section: e.g., A, B, SPB, 5L.
Number of Grooves: Single groove (1-Groove) or multi-groove (2, 3, 4, etc.).
Pitch Diameter (PD): The effective diameter where the belt rides. This is the critical sizing dimension.
Bore Size & Keyway: The shaft diameter and keyway dimensions (e.g., 3/4" with 3/16" key).
Hub Configuration: Plain, with setscrews (1 or 2), or with a finished pilot diameter.
6. How do I request a quote or design review?
For the fastest and most accurate response, please provide:
Detailed 2D drawing or 3D model (STEP, IGES) with all critical dimensions.
Annual volume forecast.
Material and finish requirements.
If you don't have a drawing, provide the five key specifications from Question #5 above.
7. Can you produce pulleys with different hub styles?
Yes. We offer various hub configurations:
Plain Hub: Simple cylinder.
Hub with Setscrews (Grub Screws): Most common. 1, 2, or 3 screws in a threaded boss.
Hub with Finished Pilot: A precision-machined external diameter for locating the pulley in a housing or against a shoulder.
Double-Sided Hubs: For dual-purpose or spacer applications.
Custom Flanges or Mounting Plates: Can be welded or stamped integrally.
8. What is your manufacturing process?
Our efficient stamping process includes:
Blanking: Cutting the steel sheet into a round blank.
Drawing & Forming: Pressing the blank into a cup shape and forming the grooves.
Piercing & Flanging: Creating the center hole and hub features.
Coining/Sizing: Final precision calibration of critical dimensions.
Deburring & Finishing.
(Optional) Machining: Secondary operations like boring, keyway cutting, or hub facing.
9. How are the pulleys packaged for shipment?
We use protective, space-efficient packaging:
Individual: Wrapped in paper or VCI paper to prevent rust.
Bulk: Stacked and separated by cardboard, packed in sturdy cartons or on pallets.
Clear labeling with part number and quantity.
10. What is your MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)?
Stamping requires tooling investment, so MOQs are volume-oriented:
New Custom Tooling: MOQ 5,000 pieces is typical to justify mold costs.
Existing/Standard Tooling: MOQ 1,000 pieces may be acceptable.
Prototypes: We can provide CNC machined or fabricated prototypes for testing before committing to stamping tooling.
11. What about tooling (mold) costs and lead time?
Tooling Cost: Varies significantly based on pulley size and complexity. We provide a separate, detailed tooling quotation.
Tooling Lead Time: 25-40 working days for design and manufacture.
Tooling Ownership: The customer owns the tooling, which we store and maintain for future production runs.
