The bent end (hook) provides superior pull-out resistance, while the threaded straight end protrudes to securely attach and bolt down structural columns, machinery, steel frames, or equipment to the concrete base.
2. What are the typical applications?
J-Bolts are critical for creating permanent, strong connections to concrete:
Structural Steel Construction: Anchoring steel columns to foundation piers.
Heavy Machinery & Equipment Installation: For CNC machines, generators, presses, etc.
Transmission & Utility Poles: Base anchoring for light poles, electrical poles.
Handrails & Guardrail Posts: Securing posts to concrete slabs.
Pre-engineered Metal Buildings: Anchor bolts for main frames.
Temporary Structure Anchoring (e.g., large tents, stages).
3. What materials are your anchor bolts made from?
We use industrial-grade materials to ensure strength and durability:
Carbon Steel: Grade Q235B (A36) for general applications. Grade Q345B (Gr. 50 / A572) for higher strength requirements.
Stainless Steel: AISI 304 (A2) and 316 (A4) for corrosion resistance in harsh (marine, chemical) environments.
Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG): Standard carbon steel bolts are hot-dip galvanized to ASTM A153 for excellent corrosion protection.
Other Finishes: Electro-galvanized, black oxidized, or plain finish are also available.
4. What sizes and specifications do you offer?

Embedment Length (L): The straight portion to be buried in concrete. Standard from 150mm to 1500mm+.

Thread Length: Sufficient for nut, washer, and grout space.
Full dimensional drawings are available for each standard size.
5. How do I determine the correct size and embedment depth?
Proper sizing is crucial for structural integrity and is governed by:
Tensile Load & Shear Load from the attached structure.
Concrete Strength (e.g., C25, C30).
Seismic/Wind Load Requirements of local building codes.
We strongly recommend consulting a structural engineer. However, we can provide technical guidance and standard load tables based on common configurations to assist your selection. Provide your load requirements and concrete specs for our input.
6. How are J-Bolts installed?
Installation is a precision task done before the concrete pour:
Positioning: The bolts are accurately positioned using a template or jig to match the base plate holes of the structure.
Fixing: They are secured to the formwork or reinforcement cage to prevent displacement during the pour.
Pouring: Concrete is poured, embedding the bolts.
Curing & Attachment: After curing, the structure's base plate is placed over the protruding threads and secured with nuts and washers.
