OEM DIN1480 Drop Forged Eye Hook Turnbuckle with Galvanized
Product Description
A turnbuckle is a mechanical device used for adjusting the tension or length of ropes, cables, or rods. It consists of two threaded ends (one right-handed and one left-handed) and a central body that can be rotated to adjust the distance between the two ends. Turnbuckles are commonly used in rigging, construction, and structural applications to provide tensioning and alignment, particularly in applications that require precise adjustment under load.
Stainless Steel Turnbuckle, manufactured in AISI 304 or AISI 316 grade stainless steel for
maximum corrosion resistance and durability. Also available in Eye&Hook , Hook&Hook.
This open body turnbuckle ,conform to DIN 1480, features a threaded eye at one end and
a threaded hook at the other end. It is ideal for marine rigging, fencing and architectural use.
This DIN 1480 turnbuckle with hook-hook ends is available in a variety sizes ranging from
5mm to 20mm.

1.Bow shackle With a larger "O" shape to the loop, this shackle can take loads from many directions without developing as much side load. However, the larger shape to the loop does reduce its overall strength. Also referred to as an anchor shackle.
2.D-shackle Also known as a chain shackle, D-shackles are narrow shackles shaped like a loop of chain, usually with a pin or threaded pin closure. D-shackles are very common and most other shackle types are a variation of the D-shackle. The small loop can take high loads primarily in line. Side and racking loads may twist or bend a D-shackle.
3.Snap shackle As the name implies, a snap shackle is a fast action fastener which can be implemented single-handedly. It uses a spring-activated locking mechanism to close a hinged shackle, and can be unfastened under load. This is a potential safety hazard, but can also be extremely useful at times. The snap shackle is not as secure as any other form of shackle, but can come in handy for temporary uses or in situations which must be moved or replaced often, such as a sailor's harness tether or to attach spinnaker sheets. Note: When this type of shackle is used to release a significant load, it will work rather poorly (hard to release) and is likely to have the pin assembly or the split ring fail.
4.Do the fittings have to match the rope diameter?
The highest grade of stainless in the US market, preventing worry about corrosion.
5.What are pad eyes?
Pad eyes are eyelets, rings, or loops that attach to machinery or equipment. They can be used for tie-down, lashing or securing applications, but are not usually rated for overhead lifting. There are many different types of pad eyes. Examples include welding ring pad eyes, folding pad eyes, eye straps, and anchor plates.
6. What is a pad eye load test procedure?
A pad eye load test procedure can be made for the actual load testing set up as most standards require load testing as part of the lifting eye calculation and pad eye certification.
7. What are pad eyes used for in welding?
They can be used for tie-down, lashing or securing applications, but are not usually rated for overhead lifting. There are many different types of pad eyes. Examples include welding ring pad eyes, folding pad eyes, eye straps, and anchor plates.
8. How can we measure the load capacity of pad eyes?
Several laboratory tests have been performed to conduct experimental analyses of the load capacities of pad eyes. These tests have included different pinhole sizes in the pad eyes, different strain directions of pad eye pinholes and different loads to which the pad eyes were subjected.
9. What are pad eyes used for on a tractor?
Pad Eyes Information. Pad eyes are eyelets, rings, or loops that attach to machinery or equipment. They can be used for tie-down, lashing or securing applications, but are not usually rated for overhead lifting.
